Merlot
Sweet tasting charm and a soft character are Merlot’s strong suit. However, as easy as it is to consume, it is equally difficult to grow. The island’s competent producers have, however, found the solution, choosing heavy soils, high altitudes and cold vineyards to grow it. Thus, they offer us the Cretan version of a plum and botanic bouquet, along with a warm, succulent flavour.
