Naturally, the best known red variety in the world, could not be absent from Cretan vineyards, and, particularly, those in the Prefecture of Heraklion. The sun and heat, in fact, enhance maturity and volume, features that balance out the intense tannins, and add a Cretan twist, whether we enjoy this great variety in single variety bottles or in combinations with other international or local varieties.
